WHAT TO EXPECT
WELCOME!
If you are heading for St Oswald’s for the first time, or thinking about it, you are bound to wonder what you’ll find.
The answer, we hope, is a friendly and welcoming bunch of ordinary people who are doing their best to know God, to worship Him and to serve others.
You will be greeted at the door and you can sit anywhere you want.
Our main Sunday service is at 10.30am. It is relaxed and informal and lasts about 75 minutes. On the first Sunday of every month we all worship together; on other Sundays our children and young people go to their groups after about 10 minutes. There are no books to worry about – everything is on a screen.
You can also expect something for every age group – both on Sundays and throughout the week. If you have a baby or toddler with you – you won’t be alone. We have a special creche room (the Nest) which has a window onto the worship area and sound piped in if they need some freedom to move around or somewhere quiet to feed.
Our Tuesday 10.15am service is more traditional – and lasts 30 minutes. It is followed by Connexions Drop-in for those who want to stay.
Do come and put us to the test. We’d love to see you. Meanwhile, here are a few more things it may help you to know.
Car Parking
There is a car park behind the church and we have several reserved places for blue badge holders. When the car park is full, please use street parking.
Have a look at our accessibility page for more information about disabled access and facilities.
What Denomination are we?
We are part of the Church of England (Anglican Church) and are the parish church for the west of Rugby. However, we work on the basis that Jesus thinks that there is one church and he is in charge of it – and our members come from all kinds of backgrounds and previous church experiences (or none). We work closely with other churches in the town through a network called Revive Rugby.
